Licence & Terms
The short version: buy one licence, build one website. Change it however you like. Just don't resell the template itself.
Last updated 12 September 2026 · Applies to every purchase from sitecrafted.shop
You may
- Build one end product per licence — your own site, or one client project
- Modify the files as much as you like, including beyond recognition
- Use it commercially, and charge your client whatever you wish for your work
- Keep using it forever — the licence does not expire
- Hand the finished site over to your client, including its source files
You may not
- Resell the template, modified or unmodified
- Redistribute or share the files, publicly or privately
- Sublicense the template to anyone else
- Use one licence across multiple end products or clients
- Include it in a theme, builder, SaaS product or template marketplace
1. Definitions
“SiteCrafted”, “we”, “us” means the operator of sitecrafted.shop. “You” means the person or organisation that purchases a licence. “Template” means the digital files delivered to you, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images, icons and documentation. “End product” means a single finished website built using the Template, deployed at one primary domain and its subdomains.
2. Licence granted
On receipt of full payment, SiteCrafted grants you a worldwide, perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use one copy of the Template to create one end product.
- The end product may be for you or for a single paying client.
- You may modify, adapt and extend the Template without restriction within that end product.
- The end product may be commercial, and may itself charge users or take payments.
- Staging, development and preview copies of the same end product are included at no extra cost.
- You do not need to display any attribution or credit to SiteCrafted.
One licence is required per end product. Two websites means two licences, even if both are yours.
3. Restrictions
You may not, whether for payment or free of charge:
- Resell, relicense, sublicense, rent, lease or lend the Template or any substantial part of it;
- Redistribute or share the Template files, including in public or private repositories, file-sharing services, courses, asset packs or bundles;
- Incorporate the Template into another template, theme, page builder, site generator, SaaS product or any offering from which others could extract or reuse the design or code;
- Use a single licence across multiple end products, clients, brands or unrelated domains;
- Remove, obscure or alter any copyright or licence notice contained in the files;
- Represent the Template, modified or otherwise, as your own product for licensing to third parties.
The finished website you build is yours. The Template underneath it is not yours to sell.
4. Using templates for client work
Agencies and freelancers are welcome, and a great many of our customers are exactly that. The rule is simply one licence per client project.
You may purchase the licence yourself and bill it to the client, or ask the client to purchase it. On completion you may transfer the licence, along with the end product and its source files, to that client — at which point the licence rests with them and you no longer hold it for reuse.
Building three client sites from the same Template requires three licences. If you expect to use one Template repeatedly, email hello@sitecrafted.shop and we will arrange multi-licence pricing.
5. Digital delivery
All SiteCrafted products are digital downloads. No physical item is produced, posted or shipped, and no delivery address is requested at any stage.
Your download link is displayed immediately after payment is confirmed and is also sent to the email address given at checkout. Links remain valid for 72 hours and permit up to five downloads. Expired or lost links are re-issued free of charge on request, indefinitely — email support@sitecrafted.shop from the address used at purchase.
It is your responsibility to provide a working email address and to keep your own backup of the files you download.
6. Refunds and right of withdrawal
Because Templates are delivered instantly and cannot be returned once downloaded, all sales are final once the download link has been issued. By completing checkout you expressly consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge that you thereby lose the statutory right of withdrawal for digital content under EU consumer law.
That said, we are not interested in keeping money we have not earned. We will refund you in full if:
- The files are corrupt, incomplete or will not open, and we cannot fix it;
- The Template is materially different from what its product page describes;
- You were charged twice, or charged in error.
Contact us within 14 days of purchase and we will put it right. Refunds are not given for a change of mind, for lacking the skills to edit the files, or for incompatibility with third-party software we do not claim to support.
7. Support and updates
Every purchase includes six months of email support covering installation, defects, and reasonable guidance on customising the Template. Support does not include building your site for you, bespoke development, third-party plugins or hosting problems.
Updates to a Template you have purchased — bug fixes, browser compatibility, improvements — are free for life and re-issued to the address you bought with. We may discontinue a Template from sale at any time; that does not affect your licence or your right to keep using it.
8. Ownership and third-party assets
SiteCrafted retains all copyright and intellectual property rights in the Template. This is a licence to use it, not a transfer of ownership. You own the content you add — your text, images, logo and data — and the end product as a whole.
Placeholder images, illustrations and sample text included in the Template are supplied for layout purposes only. Where a Template references a third-party font, script or service, that item remains subject to its own licence, and you are responsible for complying with it in your end product.
9. Warranty and liability
Templates are provided “as is”. We warrant that the files will substantially match their product page description at the time of purchase, and we test every Template across current browsers before release. We do not warrant that a Template will be error-free, meet every specific requirement, or work with software or services not named on its product page.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SiteCrafted's total liability arising from a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that Template. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profit, lost data or business interruption. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud.
10. Termination
This licence terminates automatically if you breach its terms, in particular the restrictions in section 3. On termination you must stop using the Template and delete all copies in your possession. End products already delivered to a client in good faith before the breach are not affected.
11. General
These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, form the whole agreement between you and SiteCrafted regarding your purchase. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
We may update these terms for future purchases; the version published at the time of your purchase governs that purchase. These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union member state in which SiteCrafted is established, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.
