About SiteCrafted
SiteCrafted exists because too many excellent small businesses are stuck choosing between a €6,000 custom build and a template that looks like everyone else's.
We spent years building websites for clients — agencies, restaurants, studios, consultancies. The same pattern appeared every time. A business would come to us with a real need and a budget that could not stretch to a bespoke project, and we would either turn the work down or compress it into something we were not proud of.
Meanwhile the template market offered two extremes: free themes that fell apart the moment you changed a heading, and premium marketplaces stuffed with demos that needed a page builder, eleven plugins and a monthly subscription to look anything like the preview.
SiteCrafted is our answer. We take the same care we would on a client project — the real typographic scale, the tested breakpoints, the accessible components — and sell the result once, for a price a small business can justify without a meeting about it.
Every template starts as a genuine design project for a specific kind of business. We research how that business actually wins customers, then build the pages that support it. A restaurant needs a menu that is easy to change every fortnight. A consultant needs credibility and one obvious next step. A gym needs a timetable that works on a phone in a noisy room.
Then we write the code by hand. Semantic HTML, commented CSS, dependency-free JavaScript. No framework you have to learn, no build step you have to maintain, nothing that breaks when a plugin updates itself at two in the morning.
Before a template goes on sale it is tested at seven breakpoints, in four browsers, with a keyboard, with a screen reader, and with reduced-motion preferences on. It is checked for colour contrast and it is run through a performance audit. If it does not pass, it does not ship.
We will not pad the catalogue. Fourteen templates that we can each support properly is better than two hundred we cannot. We will not sell you a subscription for files you have already bought. We will not lock a feature behind a higher tier. And we will not use a stock photo of a smiling team pointing at a laptop.
What we hold ourselves to
Plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript. No licence key phoning home, no platform that can switch your site off.
Keyboard navigation, focus states, real contrast ratios and semantic markup — built in, not bolted on.
No frameworks, no web fonts you didn't ask for, no 4MB hero video. Most pages weigh less than a single photo.
Your email reaches the people who wrote the code, for six months after purchase. Not a ticket queue.
How a template gets made
Week one
We interview owners in the sector and read the sites that are already working. What questions do customers ask before they buy? What kills the enquiry? That becomes the page structure.
Week two
Type scale, spacing, colour and components come first, so every page that follows is consistent — and so you can restyle the whole template by editing a handful of variables.
Week three
Semantic markup, commented CSS, vanilla JavaScript. Every interactive component gets keyboard support and an accessible name before it is considered finished.
Week four
Seven breakpoints, four browsers, screen reader, contrast audit, performance audit. Then the setup guide gets written — by the person who built it, not a copywriter guessing.
Ready when you are
